Supply Chain Environmental Evaluation
We execute "Supply Chain Environmental Evaluation" of a supplier of parts used in our product. We promote efforts to reduce environmental burden of our operation.
With this "Supply Chain Environmental Evaluation", we promote green purchase on our supply chain. Our suppliers cooperate with us on our environment management systems and management system of chemical substances in our product.
This evaluation is promoted together with the following "Containing Chemical Substances Evaluation" on our green purchase policy.
Containing Chemical Substances Evaluation
We execute chemical substances evaluation on our green procurement of parts and promote effots to reduce such environmental burdens.
We execute this evaluation using a tool and a document given by Japan Green Procurement Survey Standardization Initiative (JGPSSI). Such an evaluation result is determined based on "Canon Green Procurement Standards". This standard is strict than the existing law requirement or self regulation efforts by industries.
We keep promoting this evaluation to develop and produce environmental conscious products.
